Welcome to the 1st Jozi Comedy Festival!
Finally, after years of Cape Town playing host to Africa’s largest and funniest comedy festival, Johannesburg takes its turn to present the first Jozi Comedy Festival – 7 days of the broadest selection of comedy styles and material to match the diversity of the host city itself.
The festival will consist of 5 different programmes running concurrently, making it a comedy “festival” in the truest sense of the word.
Featuring top stand up acts from around the globe in the UN Comedy Show, international comedy short films in Funny Shorts, international street performers in Street Comedy, a stand-up competition in Comedy Showdown, and the much awaited Air Guitar Competition, Hot-Air, Jozi Comedy Festival will offer a bag full of hoots, giggles, laughs and chuckles for everyone.
So, whether it is comedy on the screen, the stage or the street that tickles your funny bone, join us at Montecasino from the 30th of June to the 6th. It is seriously funny.
