In September 2006 the
Cape Town International Comedy Festival (CTICF) is celebrating 10 years of scintillating comedy with a bigger,
better and bolder festival that can take its place proudly alongside the world's major comedy festivals.
The Comedy Festival is now a ‘festival’ in the truest sense of the word, with this year's programme
expanded to incorporate five separate shows that run concurrently for the duration of the festival's three week
run in September. Bringing top acts from around the globe and reflecting the latest comedy trends from the international
comedy festival circuit, the CTICF has grown into one of the most significant events on South Africa’s
entertainment calendar.
Come join in the fun as leading comedians from Britain, the USA, Australia and Canada celebrate the mother city's
first decade of comedy with a smorgasbord of diverse humour that ranges from traditional stand-up to street theatre
to racy, risqué reviews.
