Welcome to the 10th Cape Town International
Comedy Festival. South Africa's biggest and funniest comedy festival, featuring the world's leading stand-up
comedians alongside South Africa's home-grown funny men.
This year the Cape Town International Comedy Festival (CTICF) celebrates 10 years of scintillating comedy with
a bigger, better and bolder festival that can take its place proudly alongside the world's major comedy events.
The Comedy Festival is now a ‘festival’ in the truest sense of the word,
with this year's programme expanded to incorporate five separate shows that run concurrently for the duration
of the festival's three week run in September.
Our 10th birthday programme still sees the Main Arena programme of mainstream, more family-oriented
comedy at the Baxter Theatre, while the more risqué Danger Zone returns to the Baxter Concert Hall.
The Baxter will also host The Best of the Fest shows each Sunday night.
Three exciting additions to the Festival take place at the V&A Waterfront. In a first for South African
comedy we present Queercom, a glittering galaxy of the world’s best gay comedians, and The Very Late Show,
a weekend-only rollercoaster ride hosted by Corne and Twakkie from The Most Amazing Show. Lastly, to give something
back to the city that has so loyally supported us over the years, we present free for your enjoyment, 10 of the
world’s leading Street Comedy Performers whose mind-blowing antics literally take physical comedy to new
heights.
Need a laugh? See you there.
